Capt Eric Gilhart
Greetings, my name is Capt Eric Gilhart and I would like to welcome you to my website and tell you a little bit about myself. Obviously I am not a website designer, but aside from that I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale Florida. As a youngster, I spent much of my time in the great Florida outdoors doing a lot of fishing and hiking. Upon graduating from high school I joined the United States Air Force. I retired from this awesome organization after 25 incredible years. While serving my country I was also able to take advantage of some awesome leisure activities that would come in handy later in my life. These skills included learning the elegant art of fly casting, shooting rapids as a part time river boat guide, and becoming a Coast Guard licensed boat captain and PADI certifed Scuba rescue diver. Upon retiring from the Air Force I landed my dream job as a lead fly casting instructor and outfitter guide with the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes Orlando. While working at the Ritz-Carlton I studied and became a certified Florida Master Naturalist through the University of Florida. My latest challenges include becoming a certified fly casting instructor with the International Fly Fishing Federation and getting my own outfitters buisness up and running. My business will include kayaking, spin and fly fishing, and fly casting instruction. I hope you enjoy my website and hopefully you will indulge in some of the outdoor activities that I offer. If you have any questions about anything you see here or any outdoor related activities please feel free to contact me either by email or phone. Take care and have a great day.
